PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balancer for rotator and a boring head in which the rotator can be balanced quickly and accurately through simple structure while facilitating maintenance. SOLUTION: The balancer comprises a shaft 34 for holding a rotator 31 removably in the horizontal direction, members 2, 4 for supporting the shafts 25, 34 at two separated positions while floating through pressurized air, and a stopper member 17 abutting against the end of the shaft 34 on the lower axis of the shaft 25 or 34 being supported while floating. The boring head comprises a lateral columnar body, a chip provided retractably on the body, and a small diameter fixing shaft provided on the end face at the base part of the body. The boring head further comprises a balancer having a set of a small bottomed hole made in the end face at the base part of the body excepting the part of the fixing shaft while extending in parallel with the fixing shaft, and a plurality of kinds of balance pins of different weight having diameter substantially equal to the inside diameter of the bottomed hole.
