PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide scaly powder for magnetic shield constituted of a soft magnetic body to be used for shielding magnetism by applying it with paint. SOLUTION: When average thickness (d) is 0.03-0.6μm and a grain diameter obtained by accumulating weight in the order of a smaller grain diameter calculated by a grading distribution meter until 50% is D50, D50 is 3-60μm, and an aspect ratio (D50/d) is 20-500 in this powder for magnetic shield. In this case, this powder has a component composition in which one or two kinds of Al or Si is totally 15-30 atom %, Cr is 3-15 atom %, Sn is 0.1-1 atom %, and O is 1-10 atom %, and the residual part is made of Fe and inevitable impurity.
