PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a round recording operator to vary the sound recording time and tone of an audio signal when one bit stream data of a stereo 2-channel audio signal and multi-channel audio signal are recorded. SOLUTION: High frequency components of analog input signals of each channel of the stereo 2-channel and multi-channel are cut by one of LPF 201 selected by the sampling frequency specifying signal, and next, high frequency components of the residual region passed through the LPF 201 by one of emphasis circuit 202 similarly selected by the sampling frequency specifying signal are subjected to emphasis process, then coverted into one bit stream signal by aΔΣmodulation A/D converter 203 and recorded on the audio disk. Thus, the stereo 2-channel and multi-channel audio signals are converted into the one bit stream signal by the same or different sampling rate, resolution of quantization, etc.
