PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug socket cover with superior universality, capable of an application to various standards of existing plug socket main bodies, preventing generation of a fire accident by preventing adhesion of contaminations such as dust to an arbitrary existing plug such as an adapter inserted in a plug inserting port for years so as to prevent generation of a tracking phenomenon and allowing easy attachment/detachment of the plug to/from the plug inserting opening. SOLUTION: This plug socket cover comprises a covering plate 2 provided in a covering state toward a plug inserting port of a plug socket main body; and one or more frame-like cut-off parts 3 formed in the covering plate 2 to be freely cut off and opened according to a plug inserting part formed with the plug inserting port. Accordingly, by cutting off the cut-off part 3 formed in the covering plate 2 according to the plug inserting part of the existing plug socket main body embedded in a wall surface or the like, an opening part fitting onto the plug inserting part of the existing plug socket main body can be easily formed.
