PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily and rapidly comprehensible electrochemical characteristics important as battery performance by attaching a recording medium on which a calculator program capable of recognizing the operation characteristics of the battery is recorded to the newly developed battery to be supplied to a user. SOLUTION: At the time or before a battery supplier supplies a sample of a battery, which is newly developed or is intended to be supplied for other reason, to a person whom the supplier intends to supply the battery, the recording medium on which the calculator program capable of recognizing the operation characteristics of the battery is recorded is provided. Using the calculator program, the user of the battery evaluates the performance of the battery, and judges whether it is suitable to be mounted in a battery-used device or not. Thus, the battery can be evaluated even before the supplier establishes the system of sample-battery production. Since the battery characteristics can be comprehended in advance, the evaluation test to be conducted after the sample battery is supplied is executed in an early stage.
