PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor, capable of surely preventing a rotor part from falling off from a stator part which motor has a simple structure and is easily manufactured. SOLUTION: When a rotating shaft 14 of a rotor part 4 is inserted from one end side of a bearing housing 5 of a stator part 3, an engaging pawl 18 which is formed annular in shape and engages with the whole periphery of an engaging trench 10 is made to engage, in a gently fitted state, with the engaging trench 10 formed on the entire periphery of the outer wall of one end of the bearing housing 5. As a result, the rotor part 4 is prevented from falling out of the stator part 3.
