PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the easy-to-use telephone set which can operate the power switch while put in a breast pocket, makes it possible to visually confirm the incoming call, and facilitates the recognition of the incoming call by providing an incoming call display means for the end part of one of two housings which becomes a far end about a hinge when the two housings are folded in. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a power switch 8, an ON/OFF confirmation means 9 for the power switch 8, and an incoming call display means 10 on the surface of the far end 12 of a housing which becomes the far end about the hinge part 5 when the two housings 1 and 2 are folded in. The device is equipped with a sounding body opening part 7 on the surface of the other end part of the housing 2 which becomes a far end 12 about the hinge part 5 when the two housings 1 and 2 are folded in. The power switch 8, ON/OFF confirmation means 9, and incoming call display means 10 are all provided at the fat ends 11 and 12 about the hinge part 5, so while the telephone set in standby mode is folded in and put in a breast pocket, the power switch 8 can be operated as it is.
