PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the application range of a capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometer by making analyzable a neutral sample without electric charges in a solution and making usable various buffer solutions. SOLUTION: A sample solution separated by a capillary electrophoresis part 18 is atomized by an atomizing part 19, then heated and vaporized by a vaporizing part 20. The obtained sample molecules of a gas are ionized by a chemical ionizing part 21 having a corona discharge part through a protonation reaction or the like by a chemical reaction. The thus-produced ions related to the sample molecules are introduced from an ion introduction thin hole 10a to a vacuum chamber and analyzed by a mass spectrometric part 14 and an ion detector 15. Since the sample is ionized by the chemical ionization, even the sample without electric charges in the solution can be analyzed. Since a sensitivity to ionic substances is low, a buffer solution with salt added can be used. |
