PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add effect corresponding to a playing style by deciding by which playing style the musical sound indicated by an input signal is played and separating the sound. SOLUTION: As the input signal, a musical sound signal indicating a musical sound of a solo and a musical sound indicating an ensemble are mixed and inputted. A musical sound separating means 12 separates and extracts the inputted signals and outputs the signals to a 1st effect adding means 14-1 to an (n)th effect adding means 14-n (n: arbitrary positive integer larger than '2'). The 1st effect adding means 14-1 to (n)th effect adding means 14-n inputs the signal outputted from the musical sound separating means 12, adds effect to the inputted signal, and output it. The signals outputted from the 1st effect adding means 14-1 to (n)th effect adding means 14-n are added by an adding means 16 and the sum signal is outputted to the outside as the output signal of this effect adding device.
