The lamp has three closed vessels, whereby a quartz glass discharge vessel (4) crimped on both ends is enclosed by a transparent envelope bulb (15) closed at both ends and further by an outer transparent bulb (1) closed at one end . The envelope bulb is filled with inert gas or evacuated and the outer bulb is evacuated.
