摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain finer image processing by detecting a timing deviation in the case of sampling with precision finer than in the unit of a pixel or smaller that is a minimum unit. SOLUTION: This processing unit is provided with an estimate section 6 that estimates a jitter quantity in the unit of a pixel or below and with a horizontal phase correction processing section 5, the estimate section 6 that estimates a jitter quantity in the unit of a pixel or below calculates a correlation coefficient (r) between prescribed scanning lines and detects a timing deviation with precision finer than in the unit of a pixel or smaller that is a minimum unit according to an identification processing using a prescribed curve equation based on the obtained correlation coefficient (r). The section 6 generates correction phase information based on the result of detection and gives the correction phase information to the horizontal phase correction processing section 5, which corrects the horizontal phase with high precision in a direction of recovering line correlation.
