PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a cylindrical shutter attached to a shutter attachment surface formed at the outside circumferential surface of the discharge-side end part of a developer carrying barrel to be slidably moved. SOLUTION: This developer carrying device is constituted of the developer carrying barrel 62 obtained by forming a carrying-barrel developer discharge port 68b at the lower surface of the lower part of the outer end of the shutter attachment surface 68a of the discharge-side end part, a developer carrying member carrying developer in the barrel 62 to the discharge-side end part, the cylindrical shutter 72 constituted so that the outside circumferential surface of the outer end part thereof can pierce through a cylindrical shutter engagement hole 77 formed at a frame FL and provided with an engagement member 72 which cannot pierce through the hole 77 at the inner end part and a shutter- developer discharge port 72b which covers the port 68b, which overlaps it when the attachment surface 68a is slidably moved to the inner end side and which is deviated from it when the attachment surface 68a is moved to the outer end side and a pressing spring 71 always pressing the shutter 72 to the outer end side of the discharge-side end part. |
