PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for coding processing and to decrease the length of a buffer in a cyclic redundancy check CRC provision section. SOLUTION: A CRC provision section 10 executes arithmetic operation to generate a CRC bit at every time coding object data are received and stores data in (K-1) bits less than that of a constraint length K of a convolution code from a head of coding object data by one bit to a buffer 12. Furthermore, the CRC provision section 10 sequentially outputs all bits of the coding object data to a convolution coding section 20, in parallel with the CRC arithmetic operation (1), then outputs all the CRC bits that were calculated (2), and outputs (K-1) bits stored in the buffer (3). The convolution coding section 20 stores newest input data corresponding to in K bit portion and outputs no coded data up to (K-1) bits of the input data and generates sequential coding data from the input of the K - the bit and outputs the data.
