PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict whether or not strobe light emission is performed before photographing and to execute photographing considering a photographing state by controlling the actuation of a light emitting means so that whether or not the strobe light emission is performed may be distinguishably expressed by the difference of the emitted light color of the light emitting means. SOLUTION: When a low-speed synchro mode, a bulb synchro mode or a daylight synchro mode being an exposure mode in which a stroboscope emits light is selected or a first or a second automatic mode is selected and a CPU discriminates that it is necessary to drive a strobe light emission part 5, whether or not charge required for the strobe light emission of the part 5 is completed is discriminated. When an answer is YES, a red light emitting diode RD is continuously lit. Meanwhile, when a bulb mode or a low-speed shutter mode being an exposure mode in which the stroboscope does not emit the light is selected or the first or the second automatic mode is selected and the CPU discriminates that it is unnecessary to drive the part 5, a green light emitting diode GD is continuously lit.
