SOLUTION: The test method of an organ where aquaporin 5 exists consists of a process for sampling an external secretion that is secreted from the above organ and a process for detecting the aquaporin 5 or peptide resulting from the aquaporin 5 from the above external secretion. Also, the diagnosis kit is used to diagnose the disease condition of lachrymal gland or salivary gland. In this case, the diagnosis kit consists of a tool for sampling a specimen that is secreted from the lachrymal gland or the salivary gland, a detection reagent for detecting the aquaporin 5 or peptide resulting from the aquaporin 5 and its storage container, and a container for bringing the above specimen into contact with the above detection reagent for reaction.
