PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of drag-and-drop operation by decreasing the movement quantity of the cursor of a pointing device such as a mouse in the drag-and-drop operation as much as possible. SOLUTION: When an object is specified on the screen of a display device 1 with a mouse 2, a pop-up menu for selecting the specified object as a drop destination or dragged object is displayed nearby the object and the selected object is stored in an object table 4a. This operation is repeated to register drop destinations and dragged objects, a list menu of the respective registered objects is displayed nearby the object specified with the mouse 2, the objects selected from the list are decided as an object destination and a dragged object to perform a drop process for the specified objects.
