<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly decode a channel even if it is switched by a viewer and to quickly display the channel selected. SOLUTION: A channel designation section 12 decides a succeeding channel candidate automatically according to a preset procedure, designates a display channel to any of a plurality of tuners 111-113 and designates a succeeding channel candidate to the other tuners. The information designation by the channel designation section 12 is stored in a tuner state database DB 15. Data received by each of the tuners 111-113 are given to a channel selection/program information storage section 13, and the channel designated by the channel designation section 12 is displayed on a display section 14, and the received data of the succeeding channel candidate are stored therein.</p> |
