PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a necessary measurement time and to secure the statistical importance of a measurement result by discriminating non-random modulation intervals of a signal and a 1st and a 2nd interval of random modulation of the signal in specific relation with the intervals of the non-random modulation, measuring the energy quantities of the both intervals selectively and removing the intervals of the non-random modulation, and averaging the selective measurement results. SOLUTION: A digital signal processor DSP:18 modulates and scans the samples of a 1st receive burst and discriminates the section of the digitized signal corresponding to a mid-amble by referring to a fixed data pattern used for modulation. The DSP:18 sets a time gate according to the information, mid-amble, and continuance of the whole signal burst at a base and selects samples corresponding to at least 40 bits before and after mid-ambles of respective bursts in respective sections at bit positions 15 to 60, and 87 to 132. The DSP:18 scans the samples by making use of the time gate. |
