PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate selection of a DAB(digital audio broadcasting) receiver which complies with the EUREKA 147 project to easily select a program. SOLUTION: A memory 32 is provided with a history table. When a broadcast program is received, data for the received frequency and character string data in pairs are registered in the history table. When a prescribed key operation is made, the list of a character string denoting a broadcast station is displayed on a display element, based on data in the history table. When one of the character strings in the displayed list is selected, a broadcast program is selected and received, based on the data of the received frequency corresponding to the character string.
