PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the recognition performance at the time of performing a response in a short time by adding the concerned voice section length of a candidate to the element of a selection criteria and enhancing the degree of priority of a candidate having a long concerned voice section length. SOLUTION: A voice is taken in a device and a sound signal is subjected to an A/D conversion to be digitized and featured values of an LPC Mer- Cepstrum or the like are extracted (S21) and initial candidates are registered (S22). Degrees of priority of respective candidates are calculated based on recognition scores of the candidates and the concerned voice section lengths of the candidates and candidates having the highest degrees of priority are selected from among the set of the candidates (S23). Word series are extended (S24) and recognition scores are calculated (S25) with respect to respective word series of new candidates. Next, concerned voice section lengths are calculated (S26) with respect to respective word series of the new candidates. Thus, the new candidates are registered (S27). Finaly, an outputtable candidate is selected from among the registered candidates to be outputted as a recognition result (S29). |
