PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of an abnormal sound by reducing the amount of electrification existing between a liquid crystal display element and an electroluminescent light(EL) to a specified value or lower in electric charge amount. SOLUTION: The figures are a cross section (a) and an enlarged cross section (b) of the display device modeled into an electret electrostatic speaker. By applying an antistatic measure such as an antistatic blow, an antistatic brush, an antistatic agent or the like to a liquid crystal display element 1 and an EL 2 in its assembly process, the electrification amount 12a and electric charge amount 13a between the liquid crystal element 1 and the EL 2, even though arranged in an adjacent relation, are reduced so as to also reduce resulting electrostatic attraction and thus an abnormal sound generating from the EL 2 is reduced. In this case, there is hardly any problem if sound-level is kept <=25 dB in the vicinity of a display device of a portable telephone. To attain this sound-level, it is necessary to make the electric charge amount 13a between the liquid crystal element 1 and the EL 2<=0.5 nC.
