PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid influences of iron concn. in water on the water absorbing power by a water-absorbing layer, by specifying the magnification of water absorption of water-absorbing resin particles for artificial sea water and the magnification of water absorption of water-absorbing particles for deionized water. SOLUTION: The antipermiable tape consists of a supporting body 1 of woven fabric or nonwoven fabric, a filler layer 2 formed on the surface of the supporting body 1, a water-absorbing layer 3 formed on the surface of the filler layer 2, and a cover cloth 4 applied on the surface of the water-absorbing layer 3. The magnification [A] of water absorption of water-absorbing resin particles for artificial sea water and the magnification [B] of water absorption of water-absorbing resin particles for deionized water satisfy the relation of 20<=[A] and 1<=[B]/[A]<=5. In this case, the filler layer 2 contains 50 to 400 pts.wt. of inorg. filler to 100 pts.wt. of a binder. The water-absorbing layer 3 contains 2 to 300 pts.wt. of a binder to 100 pts.wt. of water-absorbing resin particles. Thereby, the obtd. tape shows good antipermiable performance.
