PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a decrease in measurement sensitivity because of obstructing the reaction between magnetic particle carriers or the reaction between the magnetic particle carrier and an inner wall face of a measurement container, and make measurable in a short time by setting a mechanism which repeatedly generates and stops magnetism. SOLUTION: Two electromagnets 1 and two iron plates 2 are combined and a current of the same direction and the same intensity is made to flow to the two electromagnets 1, thereby, a uniform magnetic field is generated between the two iron plates 2. The magnetism generation time and a magnetism stop time are set by a switch. The amount of the current to be sent to the electromagnets 1 is controlled by a microprocessor. A residual magnetic field is demagnetized by an attenuating alternating magnetic field of 2.5 seconds between the generation and stop of the magnetism. One cycle consists of the magnetism generation time of 30 seconds and the stop time of 30 seconds. After the magnetism acts for 10 minutes, an aggregation image of magnetic particle carriers in a well is observed and judged. From the result, instead of acting the magnetism continuously for 10 minutes, a specimen even if diluted more to a lower concentration can be judged as positive.
