PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently protect the privacy of user information by identifying a user without complicated operation. SOLUTION: User identification information is cyclically transmitted from a portable equipment 10a to a personal computer(PC) 10b. Corresponding to that transmission, the PC 10b judges whether the received user identification information is coincident with identification information registered in a RAM 26 or not, and when the information is mutually coincident, the utilization of the PC is permitted to that user but when the information is not coincident, the utilization of the PC is not permitted to that user. This processing is periodically performed. Besides, the user identification information can be changed by the PC 10b as well. Further, the password of a file prepared by the PC 10b is updated into password transmitted from the portable equipment 10a and the file can be managed as well.
