PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrostatic recording body with which a sharp image can be obtd. and the voids of dots are rare even when repeated printing is performed by successively providing first and second dielectric layers each containing an insulative resin and a pigment of specified average particle size on a conductive supporting body. SOLUTION: A first dielectric layer 2 and a second dielectric layer 3 are successively provided on a conductive supporting body 1. The conductive supporting body 1 is provided with a conductive layer 12 on a base body 11 such as a plastic film. The first dielectric layer 2 contains an insulative resin 21 and a pigment (large particle size pigment) 22 having 3 to 20μm average particle size. The pigment 22 of large particle size forms minute voids between a multistylus electrode and the second dielectric layer 3. The second dielectric layer 3 contains an insulative resin 31 and a pigment (small particle size pigment) 32 having 1×10-3 to 2μm average particle size. The pigment of small particle size removes pigments, an oxide film or the like deposited or produced on the multistylus electrode surface to clean the electrode surface.
