SOLUTION: This device 401 for displaying the battery state such as the residual capacity of a rechargeable battery 400 is provided with a display means 402 displaying the battery state, an absolute residual ratio calculating means 403 obtaining the ratio (absolute residual ratio) of the residual capacity of the battery 400 against the initial capacity, a relative residual ratio calculating means 404 obtaining the ratio (relative residual ratio) of the residual capacity of the battery 400 against the maximum capacity, a charging ratio calculating means 405 obtaining the ratio (charging ratio) of the charged capacity of the battery 400 to the initial capacity or maximum capacity, and a display control means 406 selectively displaying one of the absolute residual ratio, relative residual ratio and charging ratio on the display means 402.</p> |
