<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device which commands the generation of a click signal and generates a continuous command signal through easy manual operation. SOLUTION: When the left click button 30L of a mouse body 90 is depressed, the click switch 20L in contact with the button 30L is depressed to generate a clock signal. The rotary arm 13 mounted with the left click switch 20L rotates on a shaft 12 as a fulcrum according to the operating force of the left click button 30L so that the internal resistance value of a rotary variable resistor 11 varies. continuous variation of this resistance value is detected and an operation force sensor 10 generates an operating force detection signal. Consequently, the generation of the click signal is commanded and the continuous command signal can be generated through the easy operation of the left clock signal CL of the mouse.</p> |
