PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having low residual potential, less liable to a change in electrification ability and residual potential even after repeated use and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer containing a compound of formula A and a hindered phenol compound is disposed on an electrically conductive substrate to obtain the objective electrophotographic photoreceptor. In the formula A, Ar1 and Ar2 are each aryl or a heterocyclic group.
