PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate encoding processing by changing the logic of hardware for each image to be an object. SOLUTION: The domain block of a domain pool 11 is inputted to a processor element(PE) network 12, similarity calculation with a range block is performed inside the respective PE and is transferred to the adjacent PE. In the respective PE, distance calculation between the blocks for judging whether or not the domain block is optimum as the approximate image block of the range block is performed and in the case that the distance is shortest, the ID number and the density value of the domain block are updated. The PE is constituted of a P1 part for performing constant multiplication in which the density value of the image block of a source image is made to a multiplier and the total sum-up of them and P2 for performing the calculation and comparison, etc., of the value of (s), (o) and R and after the logic constitution of the PE and the PE network are automatically reconstituted by a logic synthesis and arrangement wiring part 13, encoding is executed depending on the value of the density value of the range block. |
