PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can reduce the effects of the variations in the shape of a step section by an easy process and thereby can obtain desired electronic characteristics. SOLUTION: An electronic device is provided with a substrate 1, having a step 1c of a high elevation angle formed between an upper floor face 1a and a lower floor face 1b. On the substrate 1, a first superconducting thin film 7 in a Tl system is formed, which is formed across the step 1c and has an upper film having an upper floor face 7a, a lower film having a lower floor face 7b, and a step section 7c formed between these two films. On the upper floor face 7a and the lower floor face 7b of the first thin film 7, a second superconducting thin film 8 in a Tl system is formed across the step section 7c. A second superconductive thin film 8 has a junction face 8e joined with a rising face 7e of the first step section 7c. Together with the first step section 7c, the second superconducting thin film 8 determines the electral characteristics between the upper film and the lower film.
