PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make decreasable the number of instructions for programming the same function by preparing an instruction by which a process specifying the limitation range of a specific process by setting can be described as one specific instruction. SOLUTION: The instruction by which a process specifying the limitation range of an upper/lower-limit limiting process, a variation rate limiting process, a dead-zone process, etc., by setting is described as one specific instruction is prepared. In, for example, the upper/lower-limit limiting process, an upper/ lower limit limiting instruction LMT is used for programming for obtaining an output±Y0 while the upper and lower limits of a process input±X0 are limited. Further, the output can be varied according to the large/small relation between the upper-limit value H and lower-limit value L. At the time of the programming, the upper/lower-limit limiting instruction LMT is selected and proper values (in the range shown by the item of a parameter) are set at parts of symbols ***. Conversion data DAT show the current state and need not be set. The execution result of the instruction is stored in the data block having the head address shown by an address AD0.
