<p>Systems and methods provide directory assistance to a mobile telephone user including finding services closest to a current location of the mobile telephone user. The present invention determines the latitude and longitude coordinates of the calling mobile telephone (120) using a standard latitude and longitude location system (100). A directory system (130) finds the services that match the user's request using a directory data base that stores services and latitude/longitude coordinates for the services. The directory system (130) searches for services that meet user selected service parameters and are closest to the mobile telephone (120).</p> |
