PURPOSE: A method for recovery of a wireless channel and a system thereof are provided to prevent an unnecessary occupation of a wireless channel, caused when a subscriber leaves a handset untreated in a wireless local loop(WWL). CONSTITUTION: A method for a wireless channel recovery in a wireless local loop(WWL),which connects a subscriber with a local exchange(LE), comprises the steps of: a second subscriber of other loop, telephoning to a first subscriber, hooking-on a handset; finishing the subscriber's call and recovering a wireless channel, when the second subscriber hooks-on the handset and the first subscriber hooks-on the handset; starting a third timer and ringing a call sound to the first subscriber, when the second hooks-on the handset and the first subscriber does not hook-on; forcing the wireless channel allocated to the first subscriber to be recovered, when the first subscriber does not hook-on until the third timer ends normally.
