PURPOSE: A method and a device for covering a present door frame are provided to be used by covering the door frame, not taking away the present door frame that is installed on a wall. CONSTITUTION: A method has the steps of: certifying the present door frame structure(S1); cutting a door frame reinforcing plate that cuts, bends and CNC punches a door frame lock key, a hinge or a hinge installing unit to be fitted with the door frame according to the door structure(S2); welding the hinge reinforcing plate on the door frame reinforcing plate, combining with an insert nut instead of the hinge reinforcing plate and attaching the door frame reinforcing plate that forms many welding holes, to the present door frame(S3); grinding and painting the welding part and the cutting part(S4); conducting a silicon work on the part of contacting with the wall, installing the hinge by fitting into the hinge installing hole and then inserting the door.
