PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera which accepts a setting change, even before data processing of a photographed image is completed and immedi ately resumes the processing with the setting after the change. SOLUTION: This still camera has operation switches 16 to 19 which sets contents of processing and whose operations are monitored, even while a CPU 7 is performing image processing. The CPU 7 performs image processing with the contents set by the operation switches, while storing respective image data before the processing for the specific process about raw image data recorded in a DRAM 5, converts it into a set storage format and stores it on a compact flash card 8. When a switch operation that changes contents is performed, interrupt is applied to the processing of the CPU 7, and the CPU decides on the corresponding processing, returns to the corresponding processing as necessary, and the processing is started with the changed contents.
