PURPOSE: A device is provided to effectively reproduce a white color under any illumination by automatically adjusting white balance by control a color difference signal directly. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises an image sensor(10), a color signal generation unit(20),a color difference signal generation unit(30), an integrator(40), an average value calculation unit(50) and a subtraction unit(60). The image sensor converts optical signal to electric signal. The color signal generation unit converts the electric signal of the image sensor to color signal. The color difference signal generation unit operates the color signal and outputs a color difference signal(R-Y)(B-Y). The integrator integrates the color difference for one picture output from the color difference signal generation unit. The average value calculation unit outputs the average value of the integrated signal in the integrator. The subtraction unit subtracts the average value from the color difference signal and moves the coordinate.
