The pipe (14) fitting has a main body (10) which has a compartment (20) with inner surface (26) for holding the pipe. The compartment contains a deformable sealing element (12) pressing against the pipe from outside. A holder element (16) grips the outside of the pipe, and is secured on the main fitting body against axial movement by a fastening element (18). The holder element presses the sealing element and the inner surface of the holder compartment together.
