The present invention relates to a method and a device for point-feeding of an electrolysis cell, in particular an electrolysis cell for the production of aluminium according to the Hall-Héroult process. According to the invention, materials are feeded from a reservoir such as a silo (20) via a distribution pipe (23) to at least two outlets (26, 27). In use the invention can provide more even distribution of the mateirals that are feeded to the cell, which will render a more stable operation of the cell.
