The transmission has three circuits and a hydrodynamic brake. For traction, the three circuits are connected on the primary side via a spur wheel trio, and on the secondary side via a gear reducer unit with four spur wheels. The transmissions of the reducer unit are of the same length but act in opposite directions, into slow and into fast. A starter converter has a throttle unit against ventilation losses at high traveling speeds in gear III. This gear is a hydrodynamic coupling if the Diesel engine can take RPM reduction under load.
