PORTABLE COMPUTER, CURSOR POSITION CONTROL UNIT, INPUT DEVICE AND PORTABLE COMPUTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user for interacting with a notebook-sized computer to use a system by coupling a display section to a computer base section and providing that display section with a receiver. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display(LCD) bezel frame 30 is coupled to a computer base section 50 by a hinge 40, and an LCD screen 20 is arranged on the LCD bezel frame 30. Then, an infrared input module 100 is freely attachably and detachably provided in the computer base section 50 and the data signal of that infrared input module 100 is communicated to an infrared sensor/receiver provided on the LCD bezel frame 30. Thus, the system is made suitable for operating an input device away from the computer for a long distance and can be utilized for a user to interact with a notebook-sized computer 10.
