<p>Updating of a password is effected between a first and a second computer, wherein: (a) the second computer receives a service request message sent by the first computer during a communication link between the first and the second computers, wherein the service request message has a password; (b) the provision of a service is requested by the first computer in the service request message; (c) the second computer checks whether the password contained in the service request message is valid for the first computer; (d) the service is provided if the password is valid (e) if the password is not valid, the second computer sends an update message to the first computer requesting updating of the password and (f) an updated password is formed by the first computer which is used thereafter as password during communication link.</p> |
