The cinema system has a signal generator (1) that provides an electrical low frequency signal for at least one group of cinema seats (8). An arrangement makes signals available at a signal output depending on low frequency signals with a signal level greater than or equal to a defined threshold value. Connecting cables (6) connect the signal output to the individual cinema seats. Each seat has at least one electromechanical transducer (7) connected to a connecting cable to convert the signals into mechanical oscillations. The transducer is attached to the seat so that the mechanical oscillations are coupled to the seat. An Independent claim is also included for a method of processing electrical low frequency signals for at least one group of cinema seats.
