The rifle can be supported and fixed by a device which has two yoke legs (11,12), which are parallel and 10cm apart, being connected by rearward extension surfaces with a block (13). The legs have location surfaces (15,15') and attachment surfaces (14). In the block, a bore (17) is provided through which a first shaft (16) is fitted and is rotatably located. The shaft forms an axis of a multi-axis suspension of the device. The shaft is upwardly fixed to a platform (19), i.e. in the direction of the rifle and downwards and backwards, i.e. to the end remote from the rifle. The platform is of one-piece construction upwardly with a cylinder (20), which has a horizontal bore, through which the shaft is fitted.
