Burn-in rack test device for testing assembled computers; has simple network management protocol switching device with ports connected to work cells by cables

The test device includes a burn-in rack (10) with a number of work cells (12). A simple network management protocol (SNMP) switching device (18) has several ports, which are connected to corresponding work cells by cables. A monitor is connected to the burn-in rack. A device under test is installed in at least one of the work cells, and connected to the cell by cable. The monitor is connected to a database for the burn-rack. Independent claims are included for a test device for a computer system and a method of testing a computer during manufacture.
