PURPOSE: A 7 segments display driving apparatus is provided, which can drive 4 digits 7 segments display using two input signals. CONSTITUTION: A 7 segments display driving apparatus comprises: a device address decoder (12) to be connected to first and second input lines and for decoding a device address inputted through the first input line, and for outputting a data signal and a clock signal inputted through first and second input lines; a data decoder (14) for decoding a flag bit which is included in the data signal and outputting a data signal and a clock signal; a first shift register group (18) for shifting the data signal serially inputted from data decoder (14) to output a parallel data signal to a 7 segments display; and a second shift register group (20) for shifting the data signal inputted from the data decoder (14) to output a data which is selected from a predeterminded number of digits. Thereby, it is possible to easily perform the control of a micro-controller and simplify the composition of the driving apparatus.
