摘要 PURPOSE: An industrial electromagnetic wave shielding material having enough absorption/adsorption strength is provided which is used in a wide range, such as radioactive waste treatment adsorbent, radioactive shielding material, electromagnetic wave absorbent, and far infrared ray irradiating agent as well as electromagnetic shielding agent. CONSTITUTION: To provide electromagnetic shielding material, four kinds of expandable mineral ( 30 weight % of sepiolite, 40 weight % of vermiculite, 10 weight % of perlite, and 10 weight % of zeolite) are comminuted into 0.2 to 3 mm and leaving in organic peroxide suspension, then heated quickly up to 750 to 1200°C to get scaly powder. This powder is mixed with urea resin, fly ash and plant fiber. The mixture is inserted into heating plate mold while heated slowly up to 150 to 200°C, then compressed with less than 200 ton of hydraulic press. This material is light-weight, sound-absorbent, deodorant, and thermostatic as well as radio-active shielding.
