PURPOSE: An UPS/AVR complex power device is provided to allow the UPS to extend the power failure back up time enormously by supplying the output of UPA and AVR to the device which needs both UPS and AVR function and supplying only the AVR function which does not need the UPS function. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises an A/D converter(140) which transfers the upper exchanging power into direct current, D/A inverter(170) which transfers the direct current into the upper exchanging current and supplies it to a member, a charger(150) which charges the battery, a DC-DC converter(160) which maintains the power failure pressure, a switching part(180) which selectively applies the exchanging power to the external system, and a CPU(100) which controls the operation of the switching part.
