PURPOSE: A method according to various data transmitting methods in a wireless local loop(WWL) system, is provided to differently allocate a time slot of a trunk line channel and release it. CONSTITUTION: The source allocation and the release method thereof in a radio distribution unit (RDU) of the WWL system, which connects a radio carrier station(RCS) with a local exchange(LE) using a plurality of speech paths composed of at least two time slots, comprises the steps of: the local exchange or the radio carrier station demanding a call for a data service to the radio distribution unit; the radio distribution unit checking whether time slots of the speech path, allotted by the radio carrier station or the local exchange, are available; the radio distribution unit checking a data transmitting method of a demanded call if the time slots are available; the radio distribution unit setting the available sub-time slots by the data transmitting method according to the result; the radio distribution unit setting the rest sub-time slots, which were not set in the allocated time slots, to a busy-state, after setting the available sub-time slots; the radio distribution unit storing the result of the sub-time slots.
