<p>Apparatus for dispensing sheet material from a roll (11) of sheet material (12) includes a rotatable sheet material engagement member (52) having a smooth outer surface for engaging the sheet material (12). A pivoted shaft (34) is mounted adjacent to the sheet material engagement member (52) having a feed roller (40) mounted thereon. The shaft (34) and feed roller (40) are moved toward the sheet material engagement member (52) and the feed roller (40) is rotated to transport the sheet material (12) over the smooth outer surface of the sheet material engagement member (52). A tucker member (54) is attached to the sheet material engagement member (52) and rotates upon depletion of a primary roll (P) of sheet material (12) to position the lead end of a reserve roll (11) between the sheet material engagement member (52) and the feed roller (40).</p> |
