<p>A baghouse (20) includes a housing (22) divided into first and second plenums (42, 40) by a substantially planar tubesheet (44) having a plurality of openings (46), wherein the first plenum length is smaller than the second plenum length. A plurality of filter assemblies (24) are supported by the tubesheet (44) and hang vertically, each filter assembly including a first filter portion (80) and a second filter portion (82), the first and second filter portions sealingly connected by a connection device (200), wherein the connection device permits fluid communication between the first (80) and second (82) filter portions, and wherein the connection device has a strength sufficient to support the weight of the filter portions. Each first filter portion (80) and second filter portion (82) further includes a central tube (104) and a pleated filter element (120, 188) surrounding the central tube (104). A method of installing the filter assembly (24) in a baghouse (20) is also disclosed.</p> |
